Esders and Scheifals
Trading House

The company's history dates back to 1907, when the renowned Belgian-Dutch trading company "S. Esders and  K. Scheifels", a global supplier of ready-made women's and men's clothing, opened the first department store in the Russian Empire. Among the store's customers were members of the imperial family, including Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, the wife of Nicholas II.

V. Volodarsky Garment Factory

The Council of National Economy of Petrograd's Northern District decided to transfer the store building to the Central Garment Factory. In 1922, this Leningrad enterprise was named after Soviet commissar V. Volodarsky, who had been a tailor before the revolution

"Bolshevichka" Garment Factory

In September 1928, the women's clothing workshop of the V. Volodarsky factory was spun off into an independent factory called "Bolshevichka," which became one of the most renowned Soviet light-industry enterprises

Wartime

During the Second World War, the workshops in the building on the Moika river fulfilled orders for the front. Every second army tunic (gymnastyorka) was sewn at the factory in Barnaul

FOSP Trademark

In 1992, the enterprise was reorganized into JSC "St. Petersburg Clothing Factory" (trademark FOSP)

Creation of
BTK groups and uniforms for the Victory Parade

As a result of the merger of the largest sewing enterprises in St. Petersburg - the Voldarsky and Trud factories - the company "BTK group" was created

KSOR uniform developed

A universal all-weather clothing system was developed and supplied for servicemen of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force (KSOR) military contingents

VKBO developed

A unique all-season basic uniform set (VKBO) was developed

Localization of production

Since 2015, production of all key VKBO materials for supply to the Ministry of Defense has been localized

Tajikistan

Launch of a textile cluster (agriculture, spinning, weaving, and garment factories). Start of cotton cultivation
